Summer Internship in Brussels
Classes
Students attending the Brussels Summer Internship Program register for the three credit hour course European Internships and Institutions. This course provides offers a brief overview of the European Union’s governing institutions and the international environment of Brussels through one evening lecture per week. These weekly classroom lectures give students a summary of the European Union’s governing institutions and policy processes. The internships offer an opportunity to apply a student’s course work in a real-world setting.
The course lasts for seven weeks. Undergraduate students are evaluated on the basis of a final examination, a learning contract exercise, and the internship supervisor’s evaluation of the students’ performance.
The evaluation for graduate students is determined on a case-by-case basis, depending on the graduate student’s requirements for academic credit. Graduate students who wish to participate in the Brussels Summer Internship Program should contact Professor Sheridan at aub@aub.be
